Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Jake and I were invited to our good friends Keri and Jamie's for a dinner party. I love Dinner parties – it’s just a great excuse to get together with friends and this one was especially warm and cozy because our friends have a real fireplace and they kept it going the whole night! Perfect for a cold winter night...

One of my latest obsessions is the Chanel inspired little tweed jacket! I think Chanel succeeded in popularizing the little tweed jacket – it is comfortable as a sweater but has the refinement of a jacket.

As soon as we had a tour, I knew that it was what we wanted for our special day ...it was the exact same look and feel that I had been looking for...I fell in love... 

Wedding Wednesday: Rustic Barn Wedding Inspiration Board

Jake and I really want to have a barn wedding. There is just something about rustic barn weddings that we really love. This is my inspiration board of the look that we are going for. We really like the neutral backdrops and how a barn can provide soft, romantic light and is perfect when teamed with rustic details. A barn can be easily styled in a number of ways, pretty fairy lights or large rustic centerpieces... the possibilities are endless.. 

Wedding Wednesday: The shoes!

My wedding shoes have arrived! "Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your life". These are what I will take my first steps in as Mrs Carlson...how exciting! Cant wait to take them home and dance around my dining room in them. Its only a picture of the box...but you will have to wait until the big day for a peek of the shoes. I'm getting my dress made so need the shoes for the first dress fitting, so my dress maker knows how long to make the dress.

Woo hoo welcome to the first Wedding Wednesday !

Mum and I attended the Wellington wedding show a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing and even better, I found out that my wedding planner put the show together... I know right, I must have the best wedding planner in Wellington! My first official meeting with her isn't until the end of this month...but that hasn't stopped me from planning already!
