Wedding Wednesday: Vintage and Pretty

I've been getting lots of requests for this post!

Jake and I wanted to look into hiring some great pieces of furniture, to create a personalized lounge/cocktail style environment. We had already decided not to have a formal seating plan so our guests can enjoy the venue while being able to mingle with other guests and sample food at their leisure. Due to our unique style and theme, people have been asking where we are hiring the furniture/items for our wedding. We found the perfect company to help us soooo….let me introduce you to Vintage and Pretty!

Look Book: First Lady

It looks like we are all following in the first lady's footsteps. Michelle Obama has famously worn the ensemble, Jessica Alba also just recently wore this dress while promoting her organic brand, The Honest Company. I am in love with this ladylike check print Asos sundress with its high neckline and figure-flattering fitted waistband, its the prefect balance of elegant yet girly! I can see why it has already sold out twice on ASOS I managed to get my hands on one and finished of my first lady look with some Jackie O sunglasses.

Wedding Wednesday: Let's hear it for the boys!

Let’s hear it for the boys! 

The Carlson boys needed some suit swag and I found the perfect company to help them. 

French83 are a professional online tailor-made menswear company. I met them at the Wellington Wedding Show this year and I knew they would be the perfect company for Jake and his best man to use. Jake knew what he was after but was having a hard time finding it. We found a picture of the look he wanted to go for and French83 said they would be able to do it. They can basically do anything, which is perfect if you want to get something a bit more unique which is specially designed to match your style and taste. 

Recipe: Muffin Pancakes

Sorry I've been a bit slack on the recipe's lately. I've just been so occupied with the wedding planning. But I had a great excuse to get into the kitchen on the weekend. My nephew Zinzan was down on the weekend and I thought it would be a great opportunity to try out these muffin pancakes I saw on Pinterest. 

Wedding Wednesday: Hen's Night

Last weekend I got to celebrate my Hens night with my favorite girls! My bridesmaid Terri was over from Australia so we thought we would have it a little bit early so she could be here for it! It was honestly the ultimate girls night! A huge thank you to my two lovely girlfriends, Anna and Danni that organized the whole thing. All my fabulous friends made an effort to be there and helped make my Hen's night special. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends. I also have to thank my Fiance who sent me off to celebrate with breakie in bed, flowers and a very thoughtful card! 

Wedding Wednesday: My Bridesmaid

Oh to be a bridesmaid! It’s the greatest honour your bestie could bestow upon you! Firstly I would like to introduce you to my beautiful bridesmaid Terri - I know she’s gorgeous right?!

Terri is Jake's sister and I couldn't think of anyone I would rather have by my side as I become Mrs Carlson. We already act like sisters, but this will mean we will legally become sisters in law. Terri lives in Australia and recently made a trip home. It was great to spend some girly time together doing bridesmaid jobs while she was back.
