London's Longest Dinner Party

Yesterday Jake and I were invited along to the dinner party of the year! 1 menu, 100 courses, in under 24 hours! That's right an entire day designed as a gourmet marathon! It sounded like foodie heaven to us and we were so excited to be a part of this once in a lifetime experience!

Guests taking part could dine for the full 100 courses over the course of 1,000 minutes. Or you could join for a more manageable 2 hours which Jake and I were invited to take part in for this record breaking event. We were treated to 9 courses of exquisitely prepared gourmet magic. That's not all, every one of the their courses had been specially designed to pair perfectly with Nicolas Feuillatte Champagnes.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted with welcome drinks from Nicolas Feuillatte.

Chin chin darlings!

The best part of the evening was watching the Chef's working in their element. Each dish was prepared right in front of us while we watched and relaxed sipping on our champagne. It made for a lively and buzzing atmosphere. Jake and I felt like we were sitting in a live cooking show!

Each course that was presented to us looked like art and was cooked to perfection. We were told that our part of the evening was Italian themed menu....Ready to see some of the dishes we had?

Grana Padano mousse with hand made Crostini. I loved the chessey sauce on this dish it had me wanting to lick my plate.

Oven baked bruschetta with spicy Italian Nduja balsamic vinegar from Modena reduction and strawberries. The flavours of this dish were incredible well matched!

Fried polenta with Italian Chiodini mushrooms and radicchio from Treviso. The Chef had handmade the pesto for this dish, I must admit it's one of the best pesto's I've had and really brought the flavours together.

Radicchio salad from Treviso, shallots in vinaigrette and grain mustard. intense falvours and a fresh, crispy crunch, definitely one of my favorites from the night!

Marinated apple slices with brown sugar, lemon juice, beetroot and tarragon. This was Jake's favourite dish of the night.

Handmade almond pastry with chocolate, one of the three desserts we had to finish the evening off!

Before I left I managed to get a photo with Gio Renzo who was the head Chef for our seating. He and his team did an incredible job. He was also very entertaining and described each dish to us as it was presented.

  2. Lovely post! Have never attended such a dinner party but want to be a part of it. Recently went to my friend’s dinner party at one of Seattle Wedding venues where everything was just fantastic. Best thing was delicious food and just loved it.
