I LOVE London & it seems London LOVES me!

It's been just over a month since I moved to London!! (If you are confused, and wondering why we are here....read this post) My Husband had already been here for two months. It was the best feeling walking out of the airport doors and seeing my hubby waiting for me with flowers in hand, needless to say the airport reunion was the stuff that romantic movies are made of!

Jake had thankfully organised everything, he managed to find us an amazing apartment. It's central and handy to everything! Like literally....

Train Station (which takes you into central London) - 4 min walk
Supermarket (Tesco's express) - less than a minute
Cute Cafe (in apartment complex courtyard) - less than a minute
Shopping mall (seriously has everything, there's no need to even go into London city) - 3 minute walk

....and a bonus the apartment complex even has a free gym and rooftop gardens, seriously there's no need to leave home! So thankfull my hubby did a great job.

I've spent this first month being a tourist and getting to know London, I have to say I LOVE London and, it seems London LOVES me! Jake has spoilt me taking me out to restaurants, musicals, shopping and of course doing the tourist must do's including The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Notting Hill, The National Gallery, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Chelsea, The War Museum, Westminster Abby, St James Park, Covent Garden, Natural History Museum, Borough Markets. I have seen and done so much but that's the best thing about London, there is always so much on that you never run out of things to do or explore! I’ve also been loving the gorgeous spring weather, the beautiful blooms are everywhere. I have been putting this warmer weather to good use and trying out a few rooftop bars which is a must do in London.

Oh, Oh, the shopping, THE SHOPPING! London is undoubtedly one of the world’s great shopping cities. From the hustle and bustle of Oxford Circus, to the exquisite boutiques, thrift shops to luxurious department stores, London really has it all when it comes to shopping. So many labels and brands that New Zealand doesn't have yet my wardrobe has literally doubled in size since I arrived.

Also, what is all this nonsense about Londoners being rude?! I tripped over on the tube yesterday (typical tube newbie) and seriously about 5 people came over to help me up. I even did a little social experiment. Jake and I were walking through the tube and I said to him "I wonder how long it would take for somebody to smile back at me" and the first person I smiled at gave me the biggest grin back! The birds are out, sun is shinning... I love London!

I hope you enjoy this little update, and a little peek of our new space and neighbourhood!
