Dear Baby Boy

To my first child.  My first son.  My first everything.  You’re almost here and we are so excited to finally meet you!  I have loved carrying you the last nine months and feeling you move and wriggle inside of me.  I can’t wait to be your mama and hold you in my arms and smell that sweet baby smell while staring into your beautiful eyes.  I feel so ready to welcome you into my life.  Lately I have been doing lots of study and reading about how to be a good parent, how to help you learn and grow, and how to be the best example I can be for you.  I feel like this will be the most rewarding thing I will ever do in my life.

Oh my goodness you are the luckiest boy in the whole wide world.  You are just going to love your Dad!  He’s amazing!  I know he’s going to be such a wonderful daddy to you!  He already does so much for us already and loves us immensely.  He kisses me every day and then lifts up my top and kisses you.  He also puts his hand on my tummy as we go to sleep so he can feel you moving and grooving while I snooze off to sleep.  I completely trust him to take care of all of us.  He will never let anything or anyone break our family.  He will always put you and I first, because that is who he is.

Your dad and I love to travel and have visited over 25 countries and a countless amount of cites.  We love to experience 'first's' with each other.  We cannot wait to travel and experience so many more 'first's' with you in our lives.

Our friends and family keep telling me that you’re “one lucky baby” and I agree.  I’ve always thought of myself as one of the luckiest people I know.  I often refer to myself  as a 'four leaf clover'.  I hope to pass on my good fortune and positivity to you.  There’s no one else I’d rather bless with my endless good luck and the ability to appreciate and enjoy it.  I want you to live life to the fullest, be silly, be outrageous, dance around the house, laugh until your tummy hurts and most importantly feel loved! 

One of my deepest hopes is that we can always communicate openly with each other, whatever it is and whatever is happening.  I hope you will  know that you can always come to us, share whatever’s in your heart and know we’ll always love you unconditionally, no matter the circumstances.  That’s what we do in our family.

Our life is about to change forever and we absolutely can’t wait!  Love forever and a day with every inch of our hearts x
