Wedding: Sunset Ceremony

Fairy tales do come true…..

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. It was everything I imagined and more! The moment the tractor arrived to pick us up from the cottage everything started feeling very real. I was about to marry the man of my dreams! I loved the tractor ride down the road to the venue. I remember trying to take everything in…the beautiful sunset forming on the hills, my maid of honour saying she had butterflies in her stomach, the boys getting excited and my mum trying to hold back the tears. I was about to walk down the aisle to my soon to be husband!

Jake had kept everything a surprise. I had no idea what song I was going to walk down the aisle too. To walk down towards him singing me down the aisle was a heart stopper…The emotion and excitement when I first locked eyes with him was more powerful than anything I had felt before.

My two little nephews were absolute stars, rocking down the aisle holding a sign that said 'Here comes Aunty Jess'

As I have mentioned before family and friends were involved in every aspect of our wedding. My talented brother in law played the guitar while Jake sang me down the aisle. We felt very honoured to have Aunty Deb as our Marriage Celebrant. We asked her specially to become one just so she could marry us. We couldn’t think of anyone else we would have wanted to pronounce us husband and wife. We are very blessed to have her in our lives.

I was so happy that we decided to have our ceremony at sunset. Saying our "I do's" as the sun set was perfect, Sudbury our wedding venue offered the most amazing backdrop! We loved that we were able to head straight to the party after the ceremony. More coming about our reception soon....

I had planned every little detail. I had even written our whole ceremony, so every word said had special meaning behind it. To be surrounded by everyone that loves us as we became husband and wife was such a special moment!

Here's introducing Mr & Mrs Carlson!
