Wedding Wednesdays: J&J Top 10 photographers in NZ

Providing lasting memories of your special day, your wedding photography is not something to leave to chance. Some of the best photographers are booked out a year in advance, so get your photography organized early on in the planning process! I am a big advocate for not skimping on your photography budget and doing your research. Your wedding day only lasts for one day but that one perfect picture can instantly take you back to the happiest day of your life, and that one perfect album can become your favorite coffee table book. Here at J&J I have complied together my top 10 favorite photographers around New Zealand.

Of course our favorite (and if you have been following this blog for a while), you will know the lovely Kate McPherson photographed my wedding. I was very lucky to book her as we were one of the last weddings she photographed. She is now currently taking a little break from shooting weddings but you can check her amazing photos out at

Emily Roper from Clipic Photography - Emily was Kate McPherson's assistant photographer at our wedding so I know first hand how lovely and talented she is. She also photographed my beautiful Sister and Brother in laws wedding, how stunning did they look? See more of her work at

Candy Capco Photography - I've had the pleasure of meeting Candy numerous of times and I always look forward to seeing her and her bubbly personality. I absolutely adore her work! She uses natural lighting to create soft colors and golden light.

Jessica Sim - Jessica is a fashion, beauty, commercial and wedding photographer and came close to being our wedding photographer. Be sure to head over to her blog to see more stunning images from this talented lady!

Patina Photography - James and Michelle have made a few appearances on my blog so you know how much I adore working with these two!

Jake Thomas Photography - This guy is seriously talented and has been named NZIPP Creative Wedding Photographer of the Year for 2014!

Jenny Siaosi Photography - I can't wait to have this Lady out at Boomrock again! See more of this gorgeous wedding taken at Boomrock on her website

Tim Kelly Photography - Nadine and Tim from Tim Kelly Photography are such a lovely couple and a dream to work with. They steer clear of staged cheese and focus on capturing a wedding day, honestly and beautifully.

Benjamin and Elise Photography - These too are a wee husband and wife photography duo. I love seeing their work as they truley capture real, authentic photographs that hold true emotion.

Danelle Bohane Her photo's have me in awe! No wonder she was new Zealand's classic wedding photographer of the year 2013!

What do you look for when you choose a photographer? I’d love to hear your thoughts! xx
