Our Sky-High tea experience at The View from The Shard

How do you take your tea? Cream? Sugar? How about at 800 feet above ground?

One of the things I love about London is there is always things to do, see and eat and, this experience included all three! Jake and I decided to enjoy a rather special sky-high afternoon tea at The View From The Shard. This summer they created a "picnic in the sky" 800ft above the city on the 72nd level with stunning 40 mile panoramic views on their open-air sky deck. They partnered with the iconic Fortnum and Mason offering a alfresco picnic-style afternoon tea. This summer's hottest foodie pop-up!

Ear-popping high-speed elevators carry us 800 feet up to the top of London’s tallest building, where we found an open-air terrace that had been transformed into an English country garden. We walked around to find our cute deck table and chairs set up on the velvety green lawn, the blooming flowers and the retro-style ice-cream cart parked nearby. We feasted on sandwiches, scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream, sweet fancies and tea from our heavenly hamper. We also made it extra special by adding a bottle of Fortnum & Mason champagne!
