The best of 2016 ~ Happy New Year!

Happy New Years everybody!! I'm a bit late sharing the best of 2016 as we spent a few days away on a lovely little break from the world. 2016 was another big year for J&J! Last year I did a round up of 2015 which I enjoyed doing so much that I thought I would do the same again for this year!
We have got plenty of plans for 2017 that we can't wait to share with you all. But first, I thought I’d start the year with a quick look at some of my favourite parts of 2016. It was packed full of travel, experiences and of course food. Here are some of the highlights!

New York, New York! I've dreamt about visiting the big apple ever since I was a little girl. It was everything I dreamed it would be from yellow cabs, towering skyscrapers, hot dog stands, steam coming up from the subway and bright city lights in a place that never sleeps. I shared our trip in two parts which you can see here Part 1 and Part 2

We finally got it together to book tickets to the Sky Garden. A must do for anyone in London.

It is offers 360 degree panoramic views across the city of London. The best part is that it's absolutely free to visit all you have to do is book timed tickets on their website. You can read the full post here

Girls Brunch date at Urban Coterie on the 17th floor of the M by Montcalm Hotel. It is the ultimate location for girls brunch, not only for the views but also because of the three course menu which includes bottomless mimosas!!! This is fine dining without the high price tag while enjoying the beautiful views over London! What more could a girl ask for? See the full post here

Sweden was an out of this world ultimate bucket list experience. Of course our main reason for visiting Sweden was for the dog sledding! We are both dog lovers and loved this experience. You can see our full Sweden trip here and also our dog sledding experience here. Then there's also this amazing 'Look Book' that we shot just before the sun was setting, photographers call it the "golden hour" here.

Bluebell collaboration with Keara Ellen Photography. The bluebells bloom once a year at the end of April, early May, so we had to time this shoot just right not to miss them! As soon as we walked into the woods we were in bluebell heaven! Check out the full post here

Our amazing trip to Croatia was everything I dreamed it would be. We spent a week lapping up the Mediterranean sun, swimming in beautiful blue glistening waters, exploring quaint little towns with cute cobblestone alleyways, topped off with fresh seafood and gelato! I shared our trip in 6 parts ~ Part 1 ~ Dubrovnik, Part 2 ~ Split, Part 3 ~ Sunburst Sailing, Part 4 ~ Zadar & Pag Island, Part 5 ~ Plitvice Lakes National Park, Part 6 ~ Zagreb

Our London anniversary shoot. This time I wanted to show off this amazing city that we call home. London is so beautiful and has so many iconic landmarks. It was so good to be reunited with our friend and photographer Candy Capco. You can see the full post here

Picnic in the lavender fields! Imagine standing in rows and rows upon fragrant lavender. It had me feeling like I was in Provence, France, the lavender capital of the world. However, we were actually still in London, less than fifteen miles away from the city. See the full post here.

Double birthday celebrations at Luton Hoo! This year we did a weekend getaway for a bit of pampering and a romantic break. The best bit was this year I also got to celebrate this special day with one of my BFF's Nikita. Read the full birthday celebrations at Luton Hoo here. Also Jake spoilt me and took me for High tea at The Ritz which you can read about here

I'm very lucky to have meet some amazing talented people through this blog, Maxeen Kim Photography being one of them. We shot a couple 'Look Books' this year. This one being one of my favourites. You can see the full post here

Of course I had to choose this amazing styled shoot we did at the Asylum to finish off our incredible year. Shot by Nadia Meli you can see the full post here.

And there we go! A fun packed year. We can't wait to try and fit in even more in 2017! After a lovely few days away in the English countryside I’m rested and ready for another exciting New Year.

I can't wait to share another one with you! x
