Look book: Made in Chelsea

You know how sometimes you just walk into a store and see something and just know you have to have it? Such was the moment when I saw this skirt in Top Shop.....it wasn't a need, it was a must! How can I girl like me resist a midi skirt? And a striped midi skirt at that? Nope, Impossible! I paired this skirt with a plain black blouse and some strappy black wedges as the striped skirt makes such a statement itself. While mum was over visiting me from New Zealand I had planned a Mothers-Daughter day in Chelsea and I knew this outfit would be perfect outfit to wear.

After taking a few Look Book snaps we wandered around the little boutique shops before heading down to The 'exclusive' Ivy for lunch! I've always wanted to go to The Ivy Chelsea Garden ever since I moved to London. We were lucky enough to be seated outside in the beautiful quintessentially British summer garden. Perfect for a brunch date, afternoon tea or a cocktails. We ordered every starter that sounded mouthwatering and of course I had to try the english high tea. After lunch we retreated to the secret garden and sipped our Pimm's, reclining on wrought iron cushioned seating surrounded by pots and pergolas, tinkling water features, antiqued mirrors peeping out from trailing wisterias and climbing roses....very English!

I left Chelsea one happy lady after finally ticking this one off my list - it's definitely one to keep in mind if you're visiting the area!
